Your request, and who sees it

GJ Tree Co collects what you put in the quote form so we can get you a price. We remove location data from your photos before storing them. Ask us to delete your request at any time through the form on this page.

The details

What the form collects

  • The service and town you pick, and what you write about the tree
  • Your name, and a phone number, an email address or both
  • How you prefer to be contacted
  • Up to 3 photos, if you add them

Photos and location data

Phones can store GPS location and camera details inside a photo. We remove that metadata on our server from every JPEG, PNG and WebP before the photo is stored or passed on. We do not accept HEIC files, because we cannot remove their location data. What is visible in the picture itself stays, so avoid including anything you would rather not share.

Who receives your request

We share your quote request details with the tree service professional who quotes or performs the work.

We do not sell your information. The site and stored photos run on Cloudflare.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and photos only as long as we need them to get you a quote and follow up on the job. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

How to ask for deletion

Use the form on this page and tell us what you want deleted. Include the reference number if you have it, and contact details that match your request so we can find it. We reply through the contact method you give us.

If you call us

We log the number you call from, the time, how long the call lasted and whether it was answered, so we can follow up. If a call is recorded, you hear a notice first. Call records are deleted after 90 days.

Security check and limits

To stop abuse, the form uses a Cloudflare Turnstile check, which Cloudflare runs when you start using the form. We count requests per address to limit abuse, and we store that address only as a scrambled hash that expires.

Other things this site does

The site uses PostHog analytics (cookies) to understand how the site is used; we do not sell this data. The site runs no ad trackers. To show storm alerts, your browser asks the National Weather Service directly for current alerts. Links to outside sources take you to sites with their own policies.

Short answers

Privacy questions, answered first

Short answers about your request and your photos.

Can anyone see the location of my photos?

Not from the photo file, because we remove GPS and camera metadata first. That happens on our server for every JPEG, PNG and WebP before storage. Anything visible in the picture, like a house number, stays. You give your town and contact details in the form so we can reach you.

Why can I not upload a HEIC photo?

We cannot safely remove location data from HEIC files, so we do not accept them. Please send a JPEG, PNG or WebP instead. Most phones and photo apps can save or share a photo in one of those formats. Your request still works with no photos at all if that is easier.

How do I get my request deleted?

Send us a note through the form on this page and say what you want deleted. Include your reference number if you have it, and contact details that match the request so we can find it. We reply through the contact method you give us. You do not need to give a reason.
